A giclée (fine art) copy of an A3 collagraph.

I've worked in the Jewellery Quarter for a number of years and grew up nearby, I've loved seeing the area develop and evolve over the past 28 years. This piece was inspired by the iconic architecture of the Jewellery Quarter some of which have been there for hundreds of years, others that are much more modern. I created the original using intaglio collagraph printing technique, which gives a very similar effect to etching.

What is giclée? A fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper to achieve an inkjet print of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability.

About the original printing technique: Collagraph is a cost effective technique which essentially just requires a scalpel and a sheet of mount-board. You score into mount-board allowing you to be very detailed, you can also peel back the top layer of the board on certain segments that you wish the ink to cling to most. 


A4- The size of the central print is roughly H:25 x W:18cm and the overall paper size measures approximately 29.7 x 21cm including artists signature, the paper size is A4. 

A3- The size of the central print is roughly H:33 x W:24cm and the overall paper size measures approximately 42 x 30cm including artists signature, the paper size is A3. 

The prints are on high quality 350gsm acid free watercolour paper and is hand signed.

Limited edition print, signed by myself (the artist) and the paper size is tailored to standard frames.

HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE THAT FRAMES ARE NOT INCLUDED.

My art prints are posted via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery to make sure you receive it safely.

They will be shipped in a cello bag with stiff card inside a board backed envelope with a piece of foam board to make a sturdy package to keep the artwork in perfect condition whilst in transit.
