About the event

Enjoy a day spent learning how to create your very own linocut print. Run by myself, Holly O'Meara of CraftyBun Studio in the lovely surroundings of Crafty Happenings

Throughout the day you will learn how to transfer your image/drawing to you lino block. Shown how to cut the design to create a relief surface. Ink up the plate and print it using hand burnishing and a press.

We shall also explore the reduction lino technique which allows you to create a multicoloured lino print or two/three colours. You are welcome to take home your original linocuts and prints at the end of the day.

Suitable for complete beginners and those looking to refresh or develop skills. Participants are required to bring their own visual materials to draw and transfer onto their lino block. These can be visual materials such as photographs that you would like to trace or your own original drawings that we can then transfer onto the lino plates. Suitable for ages 18+. All materials provided.

Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake are provided throughout the workshop and during a 40-minute break.
