The perfect gift or collectable for anyone who loves steam trains and foxes, it even features a mill beyond the bridge! The perfect gift for Dad's and Granddads!
The piece was inspired by a place in Shropshire called Daniel's Mill, one of the few working mills remaining in the UK. There is an excellent short walk from the mill which gives you a fantastic view of the Severn Valley railway and features a beautiful bridge.
A giclée print was originally created using drypoint etching technique. It measures approximately 21 x 29.7cm including artists signature, the paper size is A4. The print is on high quality 350gsm acid free watercolour paper and is hand signed.
What is giclée? A fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high-quality archival quality paper to achieve an inkjet print of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability.
What is drypoint? Drypoint is an intaglio printmaking method that involves scratching an image into a plate with a pointed tool. These lines create a burr that holds ink, meaning that the print reveals the drawing. Intaglio printmaking is the opposite of relief printmaking as it is the sunken areas of the plate that print rather than the raised areas.
Signed by myself (the artist) and the paper size is tailored to standard frames. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE THAT FRAMES ARE NOT INCLUDED. My art prints are posted via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery to make sure you receive it safely. A4 prints will be shipped in a cello bag with stiff card inside a board backed envelope with a piece of foam board to make a sturdy package to keep the artwork in perfect condition whilst in transit.
